Electrical Applications Engineers

A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics is required plus 3-5 years of experience. The individuals we are seeking will work with customers to analyze problems, develop applications and write internal specifications. Experience with power electronics, magnetic materials, or power supply design is preferred, but not necessary. Magnetics provides in depth training. Sales or technical support experience is helpful. English and Mandarin language skills are required. The ability to travel to the USA periodically is necessary. The position could be based in Hong Kong, or in other areas of Southern China.

Product Analyst

The Product Analyst will provide Quantitative Analysis as well as Sales Support for Magnetics global marketing initiatives. The candidate will report to the Marketing Director and will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Finance Departments.

Experience in quantitative analysis should include:

  • Pricing – Maintain price lists and pricing tools
  • Operational Metrics – Measure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance, plus ad hoc reports
  • Win/Loss Analysis – Analyze quote and order win/loss statistics.

Experience in Sales and Channel Support will include designing and updating literature for all product lines including translations to foreign languages, coordinating trade show arrangements and shipments to the shows, and detailed analysis of key competitors for market intelligence purposes.

Because of the dual role of this position, the candidate must have both strong analytical and creative skills. In addition, the candidate must possess the following competencies.

  • B.S. or B.A. Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or other related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Assistant Controller

Job duties for this new position will include management of accounting services including invoicing, collections, and asset management. The assistant controller will also manage and perform accounting and finance functions for all financial data including general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, fixed assets, budgets, tax reporting, and forecasts, and assist with the preparation of the company financial statements for local, national and international financial reporting (IFRS). Our experience requirements are 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting and finance activities for an international manufacturing business. Minimum of 5 years experience managing or supervising accounting and finance activities. Experience should include the use of an integrated enterprise system (ERP). Outlook Soft or similar consolidation software experience a huge advantage. A Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance required, MBA useful. Mandarin language skills a definite plus.
